How to do DPF Regeneration on Audi A6 2016 by Gscan3

This instruction provides a guide on how to use G-Scan3 for DPF regeneration on a 2016 Audi A6.

Steps:

Connect G-Scan3 to the Audi A6 OBD port.

Enter the menu and select “Diagnosis.”

Select “AUDI.”

Select “MANUAL SELECTION.”

Select “General” → “All Model” → “Common” → “01 Engine Electronics.”

Press “OK.”

Select “Special Function” → “Security Access.”

A prompt will appear to enter a valid access key. Press F3 TIP to check the password.

The screen displays 27971.

Click “OK,” then enter 27971 and click “OK” again.

It shows Security access accepted, then click “OK”.

Return to “Engine Electronics” and select “Basic Setting.”

Click the function tab.

Scroll down and find “Service Regeneration of Particle Filter.”

Ensure all preconditions are met before proceeding. If not, the function may fail or not start. Click “OK.”

G-Scan3 will display the function status, required actions, and elapsed time.

Press the brake pedal and then the accelerator pedal.

Hold both the brake pedal and accelerator pedal.

Fully press the accelerator pedal.

The engine RPM will increase, and the status will change from “Not running” to “Running.”

When the function is completed, the status will change to “Finished correctly,” and the RPM will return to idle.
